H2O Neutralizer Chlorination / Dechlorination Device The H2O Neutralizer is designed to offer an extremely cost effective and convenient solution to Utility Departments, Contractors, and Fire Departments to achieve dechlorination (up to 200 ppm) or chlorination of distribution systems, storage reservoirs, and certain industrial facilities. The H2O Neutralizer requires no external power or injection pumps to operate. The feed solution is introduced into the water by means of controlled vacuum-induced feed line solution. The H2O Neutralizer (3M-CLA) attaches directly to a 2-1/2" MNST hydrant port, blow-off assembly or fire hose using 3" x 2-1/2" FNST Type "A" adapter. On the discharge end 20 ft. of hose is attached followed by the Full Flow Diffuser (HD-301). The Model 5M-CLA attaches directly to a 4-1/2" fire hydrant pumper followed by the discharge hose with the Full Flow Diffuser. -- |

Operational Procedures * Prior to first time use, the user shall familiarize themselves with proper operation of the device, along with all Local, State, and Federal laws and regulations. * Refer to O&M Manual for proper orifice to flow rate application. * Determine the proper amount of reagent to be utilized, based on the Manufacturer's requirements. * Attach the device to the discharge port, then attach the discharge hose to the unit followed by the Full Flow Diffuser. * Mix the neutralizing reagent in a clean container. Mix additional neutralizing reagent with the make-up water control valve. * Position the Feed Solution valve in the full open position (4), make-up water valve in the closed position, and verify the eductor cylinder is in the open and locked position. * Place a small amount of reagent n the pathway of the discharge water to ensure that no chlorinated water escapes without treatment. Slowly open the hydrant valve and allow water to begin flowing through the device. Once 20 psi is reached, proper operation will begin. * Test discharge from the sample port on the diffuser to verify neutralization. Adjust the feed solution as required. |
